I'm not sure if I understand your requirements.

Do you want to load vector data (probably GML) and then change the color 
of the features by filtering on the attributes of the GML?

This doesn't exist yet, but you have some alternatives.
1. Have a look at the SLD editor demo. It allows you to build a SLD file 
(which matches attributes to colors) and then send the SLD to the WMS 
where the WMS renders the layer with new colors.

2. We could port this SLD functionality to be applied to vector data on 
the client. This is something I'm interested for a project we have with 
Geoconnections. You might want to join us in this development.
