Not all of GML 3.0 is supported, and it sounds like gml:circle is not 
supported. However, we do render a point as a circle.

The renderer has taken a number of short cuts. For instance, we extract 
out a linestring and render it as a line. So a spline will be rendered 
as a line.

If you want specific GML 3 features, it should not be too difficult to 
add them. We use the OpenLayers Renderer, so you will need to update the 
code there.
