Ah - you are right.
It seems like this functionality was removed from MapPane when we moved 
to MapPaneOL. Most clients prefer to use the full window width available 
in the browser rather than the set the widgth/height themselves.

It seems like you will need to copy the code inside the block 
"if(fixedSize=="true")" into the paint() function.
I don't see this as something that most clients will be interested in, 
so we probably shouldn't roll it back into the Mapbuilder trunk.

Another option I have not looked into might be to set the width by 
calling an OpenLayers.map.setWidth() function (if one exists).
