Hi Andreas and Markus, I have been working on getting loadstart/loadend events triggering in Mapbuilder. It's not in SVN yet (will be in sandbox soon). You will need the latest version of OL (2.5, to be released) as well. Maybe a bit of explanation how I do it is appropriate here: In MapPaneOL I add listeners to the OL layer events loadstart and loadend. These listeners are new methods in OwsContext that receive the OL event and will call listeners to the MB loadLayerStart and loadLayerEnd events. That's where the Loading2 widget can be triggered. If you're not in a real hurry then just wait a week or two and it will be in our (Lisasoft) sandbox. It will still be alpha/beta quality and might not suit your needs.
