Hi, There is a user who likes to do some advanced hiking trail rendering [1]. Basically, you can have an arbitrary number of route relations for a single way and each should be represented on the map by a coloured line, label and/or symbol.
There is also a US version of this problem, as illustrated by a map [2] from a SotM talk [3] by Richard Weait. Somewhat related is the following feature I've seen in Osmarender: A footpath crosses a secondary highway and the node is tagged crossing=zebra. This should be rendered as a zebra pattern on the map and it shouldn't just point in any direction, but must be parallel to the secondary road. Any ideas how this could be tackled with MapCSS?
