Hi,

I am one of the people that wrote the ubuntu instructions on the wiki, and I 
don't mind you making alterations to it! The only thing I would say is that, 
having checked through the steps I had to take to do the installation, I didn't 
have to have the extra package that you mentioned- so there is something odd 
going on...

I still struggle with just going ahead and doing stuff, counting on people 
telling me if they don't like it.  It's really the only way to get things done 
in this kind of anarchaic community though ;)  Actually, it's the preferred way 
of doing things, unless you're making radical changes in structure or 
functionality.
