There is no interface in studio 2008 for this. You can create XML
definition of the symbol using "new symbol definition" option in studio.
Applying it for styling a layer is not implemented (no user interface
for that), but Studio 2008 displays styling if your layer definition
contains such symbols. You have to create such layers programmatically.
