I have the same problem like you but I'm using Mapguide 1.2.0rc2. I got this
error msg "unable to connect to mapguide server. Please ensure that the server
process is running and firewall rules have been set correctly" when trying
login to MGS and this "Authentication failed. Please enter a valid username and
password." when trying login in Mapguide Site Admin. Try to restart mapguide
server, but I got this msg "could not stop the mapguide server v1.2 service on
local computer. Error 1053: The service did not respond to the start or control
request in a timely fashion.".
Steps that I've taken:
-disable firewall for mgserver.exe.
-repair mapguide server
-uninstall mapguide server/web ext
-and install it again.
and yet, the same problem...I don't know what else to check?can anyone help?
