You can install as superuser using the sudo prefix if your admins can set you up as such. You don't have to be the root user to install. Andy Morsell, P.E. My internet service provider (vegaswifi.net) is similar to other ISPs which give you a linux virtual server. Problem is the account password doesn't give you root (system administrator) access. So, if MapGuide Server install requires root access, is there a list of which files/folders get updated/created? Most system administrators are leery of software installs, especially those packages requiring root access. I would think such a list would help but them at ease. Thanks for the assistance,
