I have not used the sample, so I cannot guide you there.
Could you elaborate at bit on "I can't refresh this layer"?

I can't refresh this layer, so i create new buffer all the time , and
old buffer stay on map...how should i del this layer (buffer) , on 1.2
old buffer was delete by new.
I use MG 2.01 (+ fix for FF3.0) , PHP, Apache, Windows.
