Hello MapGuide Open Source Users, Is it possible to compile MapGuide Open Source without Java (J2SE)?
Per http://mapguide.osgeo.org/2.0/docs/BuildInstallQuickStartLinux.html "MapGuide requires the J2SE Development Kit. Download and install the J2SE Development kit from http://java.sun.com/javase/downloads/index.jsp"; Reason is my Internet Service Provider - bluehost.com - doesn't support Java. From my limited knowledge, it appears Java is only required if I'm using Tomcat or is Tomcat required for all Apached/PHP installs of MapGuide? Thanks for the help, Jeff Jensen
