I wasn’t saying that you have to map your application users to MapGuide users
1:1. You can create a single user for each role (reader, writer) and have the
app use these to connect to MapGuide, switching based on the end user’s AD
group membership.
You could probably get away with using the Author ( for write-based
applications) and Anonymous (for read-only) users, but I’d probably create one
set of users per application.
