I have a MGOS 2.0.1 application running based on ESRI shapefiles. We are using Autodesk MapGuide Enterprise Studio for our layer and map creation. The issues I am experiencing are twofold:
1.) Some of the shapefiles do not fully render all of their features depending on scale e.g. at start up not all the parcel polygons are drawn. If I zoom into that area the features draw. Additionally, they can be searched on and selected even though they are not displayed. There are no scale limitations or other restrictions applied to these layers. Even with all the other layers turned off less the affected layers, the problem still persists. 2.) How are people handling annotation from ESRI data sources? All our data is in SDE; however, we had significant display/rendering issues which lead to dropping everything to shapefiles. As a result, we are experiencing difficulty having all the annotation converted to labeled lines render in our MGOS application. We are very excited to make the move to MGOS from ArcIMS, but very frustrated with not being able to display our native data in either SDE or exported shapefiles. We have even gone as far to re-index the troubled shapefiles after they are exported and still experience the same issue. Note, this is not an issue rendering these files in ArcView or ArcIMS. Is there a limit on the number of features that MGOS will render or geometry that it has trouble rendering? I hope this is a simple fix and can supply representative shapefiles for others to review and reproduce this issue. Thank you!
