There is no task-specific documentation for this; basically you need to set up a feature source for your rasters, create a layer that references those rasters, and then create a map with a base layer group containing that layer. Once that is in place, you can either publish that map or use the MapGuide APIs to interact with the tile cache directly.
Have you seen GeoWebCache?
