As mentioned in an earlier thread there is a bug on this and even though you might be able to make the feature source your layer will fail to preview.
It looks like the bug is an issue with the file lookup. FDO has mapped the "table" name to the file name but instead of the period substituted an underscore so when sending the request to the provider it appears to be looking for filename_csv for the table name instead of filename.csv which is what the ODBC DSN is expecting. Bottom line is it doesn't work.
