I finally got the Views of SQL to work with MapGuide. Autodesk MapGuide Studio 2009 did NOT work. It would not allow me to choose the geometry fields (GPS lat/lon). MapGuide Maestro DOES ALLOW me to choose the correct field. Using Maestro, I was able to correctly set up my view and see my data. It seems that using Fonts as Point Symbols is not yet supported, so either designing in MapGuide Studio or directly in XML is my solution.
