I don't think that the .dbf file should be in bold, but if it works, it works :).

Hi Kenneth

Adding shp files automatically with newer version of Maestro makes the .dbf file as the datasource (file in bold), instead of .shp file. Is this correct? I have to say that everything woks fine anyway.

Thanks for your work!

Pedro Venancio

This is the Maestro user guide, and the only one I know of:
    http://trac.osgeo.org/mapguide/wiki/maestro/UserGuides/FileFeatureSource

    To add manually:
When you add the file, choose the "All files" in the file type.
Then mark all the files that are related to the shp, and click OK.
After you are done all the files should be uploaded.
Select the .shp file and click the star button.

Thanks, i'll try to do it as you said. But, if it doesn't work, could you
tell me how could i do it manually, is there any tutorial for that?.
    Thanks again

You need to upload more than just the .shp file.
There are usually a bunch of files related to a single shape file,
and you need to upload them all (they all have the same filename, but different extensions).

The Maestro UI was not really helpfull there, so I changed it.
You can either use your current version of Maestro, and add the files manually, or use the newest preview version and it will ask you if you want it done automatically.

Hi all,
Well, i've tried to "Upload Data into a new Feature Source" via mapguide,
but the link throws me to a "Not found" page. Ok... i've realized this
problems some weeks before.. so i got the AutoDesk MapGuide Studio
2009...trial.. ok. Actually this frameworks allows me to upload the data
    from a shape file.

Ok, now i'm trying to do the same but with Maestro, so i go to
file->new->Data Connection->OSGeo FDO Provider for SHP... then i search
    my
shape file and open it.
Now, i validate this resource whith the big green check and i get this
    error:

Plz, tell what's the cause of this mistake...i'm really lost.

    Thanks

Tom
