Yes, I really disliked that sales strategy since I was often recommending to my MapGuide Open Source customers that they buy Autodesk Studio. That approach by customers was probably one of the primary reasons for Autodesk's rationale and they also needed some way to further separate MapGuide Enterprise from MapGuide Open Source - so I get it from that standpoint even though it sucks for us in some ways.
Kenneth has done an amazing job with Maestro, however, and I think the community should continue to support him in any way possible with the future development and enhancement of that package.
