You have Apache running, but what about MapGuide? It is two separate processes.

Subject: [mapguide-users] MapGuide 2.2 on Ubuntu 9.10

Hello everyone,

First I would like to congratulate the efforts of developers to make a binary
for ubuntu! This is excellent news, because long ago I had the idea of
migrating MGOS to ubuntu, and this is the opportunity!

I installed .deb packages of release 2.2 beta on a clean install of Ubuntu 9.10
(on a VirtualBox virtual machine), all without problems, running the script
mginstallubuntu.sh. Then, I copied the phpviewersample-2.0 and Sheboygan.mgp to
their directories on ubuntu and tried to access the Site Administrator, but
without success. After running the command "sudo
/usr/local/mapguideopensource/webserverextensions/apache2/bin/apachectl start",
I've got access to the Site Administrator, but introducing the credentials ID:
Administrator and Pass: admin, it shows this message: "Can not establish
connection ". Then I tried to access through Maestro, but appeared the message
of the image attached.

I appreciate the help and apologize for this (probably) basic questiony, but
I'm not an advanced ubuntu user.

Thank you!
Pedro
