Hello Martin, And do you know why does MapGuide is not releasing the memory? I know that the performance is supposed to be better with 2.1, but I would like to fix that problem too.

While it may not solve all of your issues, it will be a big start. Our map of 78 layers covers the entire Alberta. We are using tiling with 14 scales. When we zoom too much, the CPU is climbing and the Mem Usage as well. The problem is this memory is never released. So, the server is really slow or crash. We can’t restart the service, we have to kill it. Sometimes, it happens only 5 minutes after we had restarted the service (so a schedule task every night to restart the server is not enough). We are not using any raster. Why does MapGuide is not releasing the memory? Which component is causing that? We are thinking about going on LINUX with 2.1. Will it fix the problem?
