Your points need to be created as a geometry/geography field, not separate x
and y fields.

Subject: [mapguide-users] RE: Best way to incorperate non-spatial data from a
database?

Thank you for the link. Shape2SQL connects to my database just fine, but
after it runs and I try to see if there are any changes with Microsoft SQL
Server Management Studio, it appears as if no new tables were created. I
tried creating a sample table with an ID (int), POINT_X (geometry) and
POINT_Y (geometry) column and ran the tool again and it still did not input
any values.
