I'm not sure that I understand the question. If they are all using the same
feature source definition and the same version of FDO, doesn't this mean that
they are all using the same client? Please explain.

I had the same problem times ago. I guess it was a problem with the SQL Server
Native Client. Is it the same client on all servers?
