Hi Brent, since I am the owner of the database and the name of the spatial index is not important to me this is my favorite solution. It is the easiest way to work around and even works with empty tables. Works like a charm, thanks!
I think the other solutions that where proposed by Gordon an Martin also work and are far better than having FDO schema tables in the database. That seems to me like an overkill!
