Or is it Nottingham England?

I would be happy to meet up - even off campus if necessary.

Kind regards

Just wondering, any mapguide users/developers coming to foss4g. Even if we
don't have a session, we could still have a meeting of some sort.

Hello!
Does anyone know how to set layer's order for WMS in Maestro 5.0?
I just available a few layers for WMS access in properties but when I see the
layer's order via GetCapabilities request I'm not happy)) Also I suppose I can
configure one layer included the decriptions all of the layers and finally I
see one big layer in WMS contained many descriptions of the layers. right?

Huh?

I would've thought draw order of WMS layer would be the responsibility of the
WMS *client* application and not the WMS server.

Hi, Jackie!
I thought if WMS client isn't using order settings and getting all information
via getcapabilities request it is a WMS server responsobility.
Isn't?

Are you talking about making a single layer resource whose feature class
comprises of more than one image available from the WMS?

If so, then by default a single image provided by the WMS is made into a single
feature class which can be turned into a single layer. In this case you could
have multiple layers with individual images and order them in the map
definition like normal.

However, it's possible to use multiple images from the WMS in a single feature
class which can be made into a larger layer composed of many image. As far as I
know, the only way of doing this is by manually editing the config.xml that is
created for your WMS feature source. This process is described here in the
"Multiple WMS Layers in a Single MapGuide Layer" section of this document:
http://trac.osgeo.org/fdo/wiki/FdoWmsNotes

My guess is that the order you list the layers in the config document will
determine the draw order for those images.

Let's rewind so we're on the same page.

1. Are you consuming WMS from MapGuide (via the WMS FDO provider)?

2. Or are you serving out WMS from MapGuide?

My answer relates to #2

Your browser may be caching the old en.json file
