I think the PHP 5.3.8 is not the official windows build (due to MSVC version differences). Maybe this version mismatch is what's causing PHP to blow up.
As for testing, most performance tests follow the same formula do they not? 1. Run $SUBJECT_UNDER_TEST for $ITERATIONS 2. Run $SUBJECT_UNDER_TEST for $ITERATIONS with the performance improvements active. 3. Compare numbers from 1 and 2. Also YMMV. I saw objective improvements in mapguide-rest execution speed with opcode caching enabled. Other PHP applications may not stand to benefit as much. - Jackie -- View this message in context: http://osgeo-org.1560.x6.nabble.com/Improving-AIMS-Mapguide-bundled-PHP-performance-tp5234550p5234782.html Sent from the MapGuide Users mailing list archive at Nabble.com. _______________________________________________ mapguide-users mailing list mapguide-users@lists.osgeo.org http://lists.osgeo.org/mailman/listinfo/mapguide-users
