If all the databases are the same, you can change the hosts file on the server to trick the MapGuide server into looking at the new 2014 server...
For example if the old server name is SQL2012 (192.168.1.2) And the new server name is: SQL2014 (192.168.1.8) You can change the HOSTS file to read 192.168.1.8.
