Dear all,
I just obtained a lovely piece of Petrus Kaerius“ Regni Bohemia Nova Descriptio
(probably second state, instead of original P. Kaerius Excuderbat it mentions
Amsterodami Evardus Cloppenburghius excudit). I am asking myself a questions
which some of the antique map and print lovers hate (the content is what
matters, they say): How many pieces of the great map could have survived till
present days?
Marcel van den Broecke (orteliusmaps.com) has done a fascinating survey for the
work of Ortelius in which he estimates that out of circa 8000 copies of the map
of Bohemia (Regni Bohemiae Descriptio) some 13 percent could be still around us.

My question: Is there any source from which I could get more info about the
Kearius Bohemia (which atlas it comes from and how many copies of it was
printed in both, or more, states?) Well, I do not have Koeman...

Thank you!

Jan Rybar, Prague
