Thanks. I thought that was the case and that it ended with Adams' experiments. It is interesting that Lee in his book "Conformal Projections Based on Elliptic Functions" (1976) does not even mention the possibility of using an Abelian Integral expansion considering he also starts from the Schwarz integral. I have spent many a happy hour reading through that book, I especially love the stereographic projection of the spherical triangles diagrams that he does for all the platonic solids...Thanks again... I think I can be confident of not having missed anything....
