At the Annual General Meeting of the Charles Close Society (for the study of Ordnance Survey maps) [www.charlesclosesociety.org] in Lincoln on Saturday, 8 May (2010), Christopher Fleet of National Library of Scotland's Map Library was presented with the Hodson Award (named by, and for, Dr Yolande Hodson, a founder member of CCS). This was chiefly for his organising the scanning and associated digital adjuncts of hundreds of OS sheets, at various scales, of Scotland. At least, this is what I vaguely remember after two weekends; but I'm sure that a more authoritative voice will soon correct this statement and provide the Award certificate's citation . . .
