At the Annual General Meeting of the Charles Close Society (for the
study of Ordnance Survey maps) [www.charlesclosesociety.org] in Lincoln
on Saturday, 8 May (2010), Christopher Fleet of National Library of
Scotland's Map Library was presented with the Hodson Award (named by,
and for, Dr Yolande Hodson, a founder member of CCS). This was chiefly
for his organising the scanning and associated digital adjuncts of
hundreds of OS sheets, at various scales, of Scotland. At least, this is
what I vaguely remember after two weekends; but I'm sure that a more
authoritative voice will soon correct this statement and provide the
Award certificate's citation . . .

Francis Herbert (another CCS founder member, who was present)
