The descriptions accessible via www.worldcat.org have been steadily
improving. If you use Firefox, you can add a search bar extension for
this version of WorldCat: http://www.worldcat.org/toolbars/default.jsp .
There is even a Facebook plugin, for any of you who might use that.
Based on some messages a few months ago, it is clear that , for now,
keyword searching is more robust Ii.e. it functions as an "any word"
search) on worldcat.org, as opposed to the subscription version of
WorldCat via FirstSearch. This can be helpful when looking for more
unusual items, although it does not substitute for the KVK catalog
(http://www.ubka.uni-karlsruhe.de/kvk/kvk/kvk_en.html) for a good bit of
European material.
