The funeral of map collector, writer/author, exhibitor, President of IMCoS (1995 April 2002), Honorary Consul to Iceland and to Chile (hence the perceived main focus of his map interests) was held on Friday, 10 September 2010 in Wohltorf (am Sachsenwald), Germany; the burial was in the Aumühle Cemetery. The brief death and burial details above are taken from an invitation from his family wife Erika, daughter, and grand-children - dated 6 September (received by the undersigned, alas, only today c/o Royal Geographical Society).
