The 24th International Cartographic Conference of the ICA (International cartographic Association), generally known as ICC2011, will take place in Paris, France, from 3 to 8 July 2011. The deadline for the submission of abstracts is 6 October 2010. Although The ICA Commissionon on the History of Cartography will consider all submissions, preference will be given to papers dealing with the history of cartography during the 19th and 20th centuries. Information about ICC2011 can be found on www.icc2011.fr Apart from an ordinary Business Meeting during the duration of the conference, the ICA Commission on the History of Cartography also plans a full-day workshop at the Bibliothéque Nationale on 2 July 2011. Various speakers have been invited to make presentations on practical matters which we hope would assist delegates in their analysis and study of historical maps.
