The New York Public Library should have 2 copies of the 'Orbis imago' from
1538. One in the Rare books and manuscripts department (Rm 324), one in the
Map division (Room 117).

In the Map division is as well a 'world map' of 1538.

Subject: [MapHist] Mercator's 1538 world map

Hi all,

A simple query: can anyone tell me what institution holds Mercator's 1538
world map?

Regards,

Avan Stallard
