I had the pleasure to visit this exhibition at the Archivo General de Indias in
Seville back in 2008, and I highly recommend it. My main frustration then was
that taking pictures was forbidden, so I am very glad that the New Mexico
History Museum was allowed to display some of those beautiful maps in its
website.By the way, answering to a recent post by Ricardo Fagoaga, some of the
maps shown in this exhibition could be valuable for those interested in the
history of Nueva España.Regards,Luis A. Robles MacíasMensaje original de Joel

. That last showing, in New Orleans, will be present during the annual
American Library Assn. meeting in New Orleans, June 23–29, 2011.Joel KovarskyOn
