Has anyone the email address of dr. Christian Lotz from Leipzig? He
participated in 2008 in a three day-conference on the mapping of Eastern
Europe (16th - 20th centuries) held in Bern (Switzerland).

The papers delivered of this conference were edited by Jörn Happel in his
very interesting book "Osteuropa kartiert: Mapping Eastern Europe"(Berlin,
2009). The main merit of this book is that it presents the cartography of
Eastern Europe as a continuum (both topographic and thematic), connecting
16th en 17th century maps by Herberstein and Witsen to 20th century DDR
tourist maps portraying the German-Polish border. A book rteally worth
reading!
