I recently retired from being a dean at DeVry University which is just across the road from what is yet again a Boeing plant on the south side of Long Beach Airport. As the C-17 Globemasters prepare for their check flights after the manufacturing crew gets through with them, we'd stand by our office windows and watch them heading out.
