o + o + o + o + o + o + o + o + o + o + o + o + o + o + o + o + o + o + o + Regarding Frits Muller's MS map of the Pacific, and Graham Arader's statement that the map is a forgery :

I would like to clarify Frits' comments as they pertain to me, as I feel there has been a bit of imprecision that could lead to misunderstanding.

1. Frits states that in 2009 the "former owner submitted images of it" to me. Not quite -- what happened was that I was emailed an image of the map by a third party, not by the (presumed) owner. Although that third party is known to me, I know absolutely nothing about the origin, or the then-owner, of the map.

2. Frits writes that the image I was emailed "proves that the map is unaltered till today." But this was in context of Graham Arader's claim that the map is a forgery, not that it was "altered". Obviously, my being emailed a jpg has no relevance to these issues one way or another.

In summary, I can confirm one specific point -- that I was emailed an image of the map on a certain day in 2009. That's all I know -- any interpretations or conclusions made from this narrow fact are not mine.

Sincerely,

Tom Suarez
