I received two versions of your message, one through MapHist and one
directly to me.
I cannot get either message to link to the meeting announcement.
When I try to connect to the TinyURL, I am taken to a page which says it
can not find a corresponding page.

Dear MapHister,
The Founding Meeting of the International Society for the History of the Map
(ISHM)will take place on
1st of December 2011 at 3 p.m. at the
School of Advanced Study, University of London,
Room 274/5 Second Floor, Stewart House, Senate House, London WC1E 7HU, UK.
Please go to the entrance of Stewart House where you will be guided to the
room for the meeting. The meeting will start at 3pm and finish at c. 4.30pm to
allow time to walk to the Warburg Institute for the Maps and Society Lecture
to be given at 5pm by Dr Emilie d’Orgeix on French colonial mapping in
the Americas 1635 -1776.
All are welcome at both meetings.
