This is, to me, a fascinating project:
<https://republicofletters.stanford.edu/>. There is a navigation button
to the upper left of the summary page that will take you to more detail,
beyond the short introductory page and YouTube video. Some of the case
studies presented include Kircher, Locke, Vallisneri, and Voltaire
(https://republicofletters.stanford.edu/#casestudies). There are also
projects that will include Father Kino. Given my own interests in maps,
geography, and Thomas Jefferson--not to mention his own prodigious
output of contemporary letters--I can only hope that perhaps he could
eventually be included within the scope of the project.
