Hi Jim,

The Mapinfo-L archive messages are there and they are searchable - they do
exist, I saw them yesterday! They are rather hidden - it took me a while to
find them. This is taken from the bottom of the following page:

Online Search for Messages
Also, be sure to take a look at MapInfo's MapInfo-L mirror site. This
archive contains all the past messages in a convenient web format, and best
of all, it's searchable! You can see this at
http://testdrive.mapinfo.com/tdc/mapinfo-l.nsf/?openabout.

There is yet another mirror site at the Mail Archive. See

Hope this helps.

Subject: MI Telephone Switch Locations

I have been unable to locate the Mapinfo-L message archives at the
MapInfo site, so I apologize if my question is already answered there.
I am looking for information on the locations of switches that are used
by telephone companies, both local and long distance. Specifically, and

additionally, information or data sets (other than On Target mapping)
pertaining to fibre optic networks they use (locations of cables,
switches, etc.)

Thank you in advance!
