I want to export a layout via FILE > SAVE WINDOW AS to the
WMF-format but there is a problem concerning the size of the
exported image:

MapInfo adds an additional border outside the specified papersize.
For example, if I set the papersize to US-letter (8.5 x 11 in) (FILE >
PAGE SETUP), then draw a rectangle in the layout with the same
size (8.5 x 11 in) so that the entire layout is covered by the
rectangle and then export the layout with FILE > SAVE WINDOW
AS then there will be an additional border outside the rectangle in
the created file: The resulting file shows a rectangle (8.5 x 11 in)
with a new white border at the top (about 0.01 in), a new border at
the left (about 0.5 in) and at the bottom (about 0.5 in).

The additional borders only occur if I export a layout and not if I
export a map and they have no connection with the borders
specified in the FILE > PAGE SETUP dialog. There are different
results with portrait and landscape and with different papersizes. I
tried MapInfo 5.0.1 and 4.5.2 (both German) and they show
different results. I also tried to use different printerdrivers (normal,
postscript, acrobat pdf-writer) before creating a layout.

Does anybody know a possibility to export a layout to WMF-
format?

Thanks in advance for any suggestion,

Jens Kuegl
