Please excuse cross-posting of this message. So here we go again on the subject of Canadian data. I have a customer who is looking for data for a particular Canadian city that they can use with MAPublisher to create a map or series of maps for use in a book. The question that comes up is not one of pricing or availability but rather one of royalties. We recognize that Canadian data is not cheap, or at least not as cheap as US data but what about additional payments regarding usage of that data? Our customer simply wants basic, un-coloured and untouched data in a format that MAPublisher will support (mid/mif, shape, dxf, gen) that can be used with Illustrator to design and create a nice looking publishable map. The data should be of a consistency similar to the USGS TIGER files or more specifically Avenza's MapData USA with only the basic lines, points and polygons. No prelabelling, stroking or colouring is necessary or desired. Is there such an animal available that can be used by a cartographer or designer to create a finished map without royalties? -- Ted Florence [EMAIL PROTECTED] MAPublisher 3.5 for Adobe Illustrator 8.0.1 now shipping.
