We've recently installed Oracle8i along with Oracle's web server - web db. Our goal is to get a site up that will display database content along with spatial content in the same browser window. Ambitious, yes. MapXtreme Java edition is up and running good. However, the only way to know this is through the administrative map tool. I can't figure out how to get Oracle and MI to agree upon where the Java classes (or for that matter the HTML files) should reside. So, absent web dB's cooperation there is effectively no web server, which means I can't test any of the sample HTML files in order to get the map server ports tested and set up. The Question: Has anybody managed to get Oracle Web dB and MI MapXtreme Java to work together? If so, could you explain how? Maybe using the sample file RunUsingJavaPlugin.html as an example? Thanks in advance.
