Hi,
First, is there a way to export a MI table into either DXF or DWG such
that each record in the table is a resulting layer in the ACAD file?
If this is not possible, is there a way to create an individual table from
each row in a table? We have a country geology map as a single tab file,
and want to keep the geology regions as layers, and retain as much
information as we can in ACAD.
Also, is there a way to create an instance of a "block" (a uniform parcal
size...i.e. a claim) such that it can be inserted into a table, and specify
a specific corner's location from either coordinates, or from snap-to of
another instance of the "block". Could this block be dynamic enough that
you could turn off, or on a graphic portion of the block (the location of
the 'location monument' symbol)? What about placing dimension lines on the
exterior of the resulting shape. Others that I have talked to about this
problem have suggested prepareing a excell spread sheet with the coordinates
of all the corners of the claims, importing this, and then snaping lines to
the points, manually adding claim number/names. This is ok for daily
computer users, but I need ways that can be tought to occasional MI users.
Thank you,
Jesse Wellman
