I know this has been mentioned before, but most of what I
remember about it is that there are still problems with
multi-user access to MapInfo tables. I have also run into this
myself, and found that even MapBasic's error trapping for
database conflicts is not reliable. I've been told that the
answer lies in using a more robust multi-user database (like MS
Access) for data, but how would you suggest I deal with the
issues of people needing to update and modify the MapInfo table
that maintains the map objects? Past message sseem to indicate
that this is still a real problem. I need assurance that in 5.5
it is not a problem, or a workaround.

I'll summarize responses so you can either email me direct or if
you have more light to shed on the problem, please post
publically.

TIA,

- Bill Thoen
