GIS applications developer, London UK IBI group is an Intelligent Transportation Systems consultancy and development firm, which operates from offices in the UK, Canada, USA and Middle East. We have an immediate opening for a graduate with good degree/post graduate in a GIS related discipline for a post as a GIS technician/applications developer in London, United Kingdom. The position will form a key part in the GIS systems section of the firm. Tasks will include general data analysis, data management and GIS development work. In particular the candidate will have a proven record in developing MapX applications for MapInfo users. Essential Skills: At least a years experience using GIS applications, preferably MapInfo Professional At least a years proven development work using MapInfo’s MapX application Familiarity in databases, Access and Oracle Experience in programming with at least 2 of: VB, C, VC++, Delphi or powerbuilder The ability to work within a small development team of GIS specialists Other advantageous skills would include MapBasic, knowledge of ArcView, Avenue, ArcInfo, SQL, Oracle and an interest in internet applications.
