Sorry it is not available for free distribution, but if you are looking for
an industrial stength linking program have a look at Images+ at
www.geobasemap.com.

We provide two way linking - Opening external applicaitons from MapInfo, or
communicating with THE CURRENT MAPINFO SESSION from an external
application. For example, you can click on a MapInfo map object and open a
Microsoft access form located at the correct database record or add a
button to any external application that displays a mapper or runs an mbx.

We have supported the windows registered viewer and Microsoft Office
programs for some time, but with our SDK (in beta release), external
developes can quickly produce drivers that expose their processes as
possible map hot links. Already we are bedding down drivers for PC-Docs and
Maximo.

Images+ provides the combined functions of an applicaiton integration tools
and workspace replacement - when you save a MapInfo mapper with Images+,
we register it as a database item, completely bypassing those fragile
workspaces, and yes, you get to add description an keywords. Version 1.8
(to be released August 30th) has a Project Repair Wizard that hepls fix
misplaced data folders.

The current web site is a bit dated, but having finally got the 186 page
user manual to compile as a help file this evening, I would be happy to
email you the help file and a systems overview.
