Hello:

Pardon my asking for assistance with this in the event it has already
been on the list. This is only the second time I've had to use Vertical
Mapper in the past five years so I generally don't read the threads on
it.

I attempted to reinstall Vertical Mapper 1.2 on my computer operating in
Windows 98. When I
tried to install in in the directory where I have MapInfo 5.5 it would
not go there. I installed it in another directory and moved it to the
Directory where I have MapInfo 5.5. When I attempted to run the
Vertical Mapper MapBasic Application I received the following error
messages:
No symbol libraries found. Please Check Vertical Mapper Install
(vmap.mb:83) Menu Symbol Plotting. . . not defined

The installation portion of my manual does not have any useful
information with respect to correcting this error.

I then attempted to use Vertical Mapper in my old version of MapInfo
4.1. I was able to open the MapBasic application, create both a grid
file and a tin file and display it on my computer. I then attempted to
create a region contour. It goes through the process. I do not receive
any error messages but cannot locate the file with the name I gave it
when the process is completed.

Will appreciate any suggestions you may offer.
