Hi all!
I made a brief evaluation of MapWizAX a while ago, and found it to be a
useful product.
May I point out, though, that you cannot develop independent
applications with MapWizAX. This may be obvious for moste of you, but it
was not to me at the time.
Applications developed with MapWizax are dependent on a MapInfo license
that does the actual processing. What MapWizAX does is to provide the
developer with the tools needed to set up the OLE connections needed for
this.
MapX, on the other hand offers tools for direct access to MapInfo data
and MapX applications need no MapInfo license to function.
But they do of course need a MapX license, the cost of which makes
products such as MapWizAX an alternative worth considering.
