RouteView Pro may be able to help solve your current territory planning
issues. When planning territories there are generally two major issues -
balancing load/opportunity and ensuring it is realistic. The standard
redistricting facility in MapInfo can help balance load/opportunity, but it
has no way of ensuring realism as it does not take drive time into account.
RouteView Pro from Dataview Solutions has the ability to use any road
network (from main road down to street level depending on your
requirements) to allocate regions to a particular resource based on its
proximity by drive time. In other words, RouteView Pro will take a table
of regions (say, postcodes) and allocate each one to the nearest resource
(sales person, warehouse, whatever) by drive time. RouteView Pro has an
option to then run MapInfo's redistricting facility so that you can fine
tune the result to ensure equal load/opportunity.

RouteView Pro has a range of other features (such as matrix building and
origin/destination analysis) to help you analyse your outlets/territories.
It is used by a wide range of organisations around the world (including
DHL Couriers and NatWest Bank).

A fully functional demo copy is available from our website
(www.mapcentric.co.uk) or from Dataview's website
(www.dataview-solutions.co.uk). I hope this is of use to you.
